    Make It Special

It is my desire to capture authentic family connections and heartfelt images. This will be achieved through playful, tender, and loving moments.
Coordinate – don’t Match. Pick 2-3 colors that complement each other and weave them through everyone’s outfits. Choose fashionable yet functional clothing. You want everyone to be comfortable during the shoot. I suggest letting mom choose her outfit first and then everyone else coordinates around her. For a dreamy look, wear light pastels, off-whites, and soft prints. For a dramatic look wear bright and bold colors. Feel free to incorporate simple toys (doll, teddy bear, etc.) that show your child’s stage of life. They may also help ease the photo shoot.

    • Stay Away From
    • Logos on clothing – these can be distracting.
    • Small, tight prints do not photograph well as the camera reads them and creates its own pattern known as “moire” which is not desirable.
    • Pure whites.
    • Additional Tips
    • Get haircuts 2 weeks prior to session.
    • If you wear glasses with light responsive lenses/photochromic lenses please consider either: taking them off or wear a pair of traditional glasses for your photo shoot.
    • Pick your outfits out a week or two prior to the photo shoot. Lay them out to see how they all look together, including accessories.
    • Have all clothing washed and ironed the day prior to the shoot. This way you can focus on everyone looking clean and neat the day of the shoot.
    • If you are insecure about certain body parts cover them up. For example, cover arms by wearing a lace, sweater, or jacket. Do not wear sleeveless.
    • Minimize Accessories in keeping the focus on the people without too many distractions.
    • Solid colored shoes and boots are best.
    • It’s a good idea to bring some favorite snacks for the little ones. These can work wonders! Just something small that can be popped into the mouth . . . and no chocolate please! (ex. Mini marshmallows, Cherrios, puffs, etc.)
    • Go to Brokedown Clothings, SHEIN or Baltic Born for excellent clothing options.
